Chitosan industrial grade description

Chitosan industrial grade is a Off-white powder,flavorless semi-transparent and amorphous solid. Soluble in acid, but insoluble in alkali and water or in ordinary organic solvent. Decomposed at 185°C.Chitosan is produced commercially by deacetylation of chitin by treating crabs and shrimp with the alkali sodium hydroxide it is a kind of unique fat-absorbing dietary fiber.

Deacetylation Degree: 70%,80%,85% (according to application)

Viscosity: 100-800mpa.s (at 20°C with 1°C chitosan in 1°C acetic acid.)

Particle Size: 40 mesh, 60 mesh, 80 mesh, 100 mesh
