Calcium Hypochlorite is a chemical compound with formula Ca(ClO)2 , it is a a strong oxidizing agent, according to the different production process, there are two types of products: "Calcium hypochlorite hydrated" and "Calcium Hypochlorite Anhydrous" they are all was used as its available chlorine.there are three form of calcium hypochlorite:
1) Bleaching powder (Chlorinate lime) is a mixture of calcium hydroxide,calcium chloride and calcium hypochlorite. the available chlorine typically container 20-40%.Bleaching powder is not stable and easily to lose its chlorine.
2) HTH (high test hypochlorite) is a off-white powder or granular, the available chlorine is typically contain:60-75%.THT,calcium hypochlorite is more stable form of chlorine than the bleaching powder.
3) The tablets form of calcium hypochlorite, To add some materials like CMC ect to prevent powdering and moisture absorption, or assist dissolving.

Handle & storage of calcium hypochlorite

The Chlorine loss maybe rapid and accelerated by the sun light, warmth,humidity and ventilation. it is normal to lose 1% max of chlorine within 2 months in the original packages. it should be stored in a cool,dark,dry place,avoid long time expose to the air. Once the original drums was opened,5 per cent of its initial available chlorine will lose within 30-40 days, if left open for 30 days, 15-20 percent of the available chlorine will lose.
